Monarch Meadow is in Murfreesboro; 2018 Winslow Ct., Murfreesboro, TN 37128 (behind World Outreach Church).
Monarch Meadow's mission is to bring Monarch butterflies back to Tennessee during their Spring and Fall migration.
Monarch Meadow is a certified Monarch Butterfly Waystation and breeding habitat on a 1.5 acre private residential lot. We have four goals:
- Provide a chemical free environment for all creatures above and below the soil.
- Provide an abundant source of native and Tropical milkweeds to help increase the Monarch butterfly population.
- Provide educational posts regarding all things pertaining to Monarch butterflies: habitat, migration, life cycle, population, etc.
- Encourage all residents to add milkweed to their chemical-free landscape to help rebuild the Mexico to Canada milkweed corridor which has been ~ and continues to be ~ destroyed due to urban sprawl and over use of herbicides and pesticides.
