About the Event
This class is perfect for kids in upper elementary or early middle school. Christina from Outdoor Murfreesboro will lead them in a hike up to their campground area. (The hike is 1 mile there and 1 mile back.) Once there, the instructor will teach them how to gather materials and create a shelter. Parents can hike with us or you can drop off and enjoy a few hours to yourself. Barfield Crescent Park also has 2 playgrounds to enjoy. The cost is $3 per child. Wear comfortable tennis shoes or boots and clothes that can get dirty. Bring extra water and a snack. We can picnic at the park afterwards if anyone wants to stay!
